Hey, my name is Paula, and I want to leave a little comment for those who identify themselves with this video, which I please ask you to read to the very end. Also, I want to say to Hannah that you seem to be very talented and really put the effort on this animation, which is beautiful. Now, I want to share a little story that may be a bit personal, but I honestly believe it can help you all who are struggling with depression, struggling with their self-esteem and self-worth. Firstly, everything in your head tells you you are not worthy, you should end up your life, and nobody loves you is a LIE. You are loved, you have a beautiful purpose on this earth only you can carry, and you do not need to hear those voices that are on your head because those things do not define your identity. I want to share a little story. When I was 14, I used to have depression, and I remember I used to have horrible thoughts about myself. I considered myself unworthy, I didn't feel love, and I remember just struggling so much to be ok. I feel lonely and that nobody liked me, and I simply felt like nobody was there by my side. At the same age, we and my family moved to the US because in our country the economy was getting worse and worse, so we moved here. We didn't have enough food and so we went to a nearby church to get boxes of food. However, one day I saw a little New Testament, and so I grabbed it and I took it home. One day, I believe I was a little bit sas by myself in my room, and I remember opening it, and I saw a little book inside that was called "Salvation Plain and Simple" by Curtis Hutson. Please stay until the end, because this story is beautiful. I decided to read the book, which I wilk leave the link here for those who want to read it: drive.google.com/file/d/1ch9GH_QgrnPcsulTohBUpKee7hnZyaof/view?usp=drivesdk In this book, the author tells the story of an elderly man and a child, in which the elderly man asks the child questions, which are about knowledge and culture in general, or things of this world. When the boy responds that he does not know the answers, the man tells him that he has wasted 15% of his life. However, at one point, the man begins to drown, and the boy asks him if he knows how to swim. The man answers no, and the boy then answers that he has wasted his WHOLE life since he did not learn how to save himself in a situation like this (he did not learn to swim). This is very similar to our life: we usually wander, seek human knowledge, look for a way to waste time, try to find self-worth, and our identity, and in our search we find that nothing fills us, nothing motivates us, nothing satisfies us. Neither series nor relationships, nor identities, nor ANYTHING in this world can fill us completely. Why? Because this was never how God intended it to be. We, like that elderly man, are going to die at some point, and after that death, an eternity awaits us. Unfortunately, we, as human beings, are imperfect beings, and we have sinned, and sin deserves to be forever condemned. We, ALL OF US, no matter what we have done, deserve death, because we have done bad things during our lives, and as the word says, "For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23), Therefore, we deserve to die eternally in hell. Yes, I know it is very strong and sad, and my intention is not to judge anyone, I just want you to acknowledge the serious and terrible situation in which we are in. Because of sin, people suffer from depression, anxiety, suicide, panic attacks, we lie, do terrible things, and harm others in many ways. We are all, unfortunately, condemned, because when Adam ate that fruit that the Lord told him not to eat, we were ALL automatically condemned to an eternity without God, since Adam now knew not only what is good, which is God, but also the bad: sin, which is man's disobedience. Now, why do I mention this? Because, are people who commit things that they know are not right, happy? I used to have depression problems, why? Because I didn't know God, because others hurt me, and because I told myself things that weren't true, which caused me to suffer from depression because I didn't know God. This also brings us to a very important point and that is that since we are imperfect and sinful beings, we need someone to rescue us, because we are condemned and without the presence of the Lord our entire life will be complete suffering. In my case, I suffered from depression because I did not feel love from my mother and family, and then I committed a very big sin of having an intimate relationship (sex) with a woman while I was also a woman, which is wrong, and led me to even have more depression. Why? Because sin brings death and destruction to our being, and not only on this earth but also in eternity. Again, I do not intend to judge anyone, because I know, really I do know, how it feels to wander in life and try to find our identity in the things this world offers us and have insecurities, but sin it's not our identity. We were meant to be made in the image of God because through Him, we get to experience what is good, but sin brought separation from what is good for us. Now that we know we are sinners, and we know that we are condemned, what should we do? Well, do you remember the verse I just mentioned? The verse goes on to say, "...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23. Now, we have good news! Jesus, the Son of God, came to this earth to die for our sins, and not only for that, but he also resurrected on the 3rd day, and through His resurrection, we have eternal life. I'm going to explain it in more detail: We are all sinners, just as the word says in Romans 3:10-12, "‭As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” Also, 1 John 1: 8-10 says‭, "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us." And, because we are sinners, we deserve an eternity in hell and judgment, just as the word says, "the wages of sin is death." Because of this, when we die we will have to be accountable and pay the price of ALL the sins we committed through life. However, Jesus, the Son of God, came to take that judgment upon Himself, which is why He died on the cross. He died on the cross so that the wrath and judgment that we deserved would fall on Him, so that our debt would be paid, as the word says in Galatians 3:13, " Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” because the law (that of sin, the law of God's commandments that constitutes us sinners) condemns us, (just as the federal laws condemn a person who drove at a faster distance than the one established by the law, and is condemned to jail; or a thief being condemned by the law for stealing something small, because the law establishes that anyone who steals is a thief), but Christ was condemned in our place on that cross for us to pay the price for our sins. Now, comes the resurrection part. As Jesus was 100% man and 100% human (that is, he is the Son of God made just like us in flesh, meaning that He is still God's Son but in a human body) He is the Son of God and the word itself says that He is righteous, which is why He cannot sin ( Just as 1 John 2:1 says, "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.") So, since Christ NEVER committed any sin, even though He died, He was not condemned, but was resurrected, because He was the only perfect and righteous man that ever lived on this earth. So Jesus was the only righteous man that ever lived among us, and defeated sin and death, and now lives forever and ever, amen! This is why He resurrected, because by doing so He domostrates that He ruled over sin and death, and defeated it. But, the story does not stop there: God promises us that if we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He came into the world to pay the price for our sins, and that He was resurrected on the third day, we will be saved. What does this mean? That we will have eternal life, and that when we die we will not be in an eternity in hell, but rather we will live together with Jesus Christ in heaven. And, not only that, but we will be able to have a relationship with God, because what sin truly is, is rebellion and separation from God, and God is the only just and good thing we will ever find in this entire universe, so by separating ourselves from Him we will never be capable of knowing what is truly good...

This shows how words can affect someone, reason why we have to be careful with our words because it can becomes someone's internal word especially with childrens. Let me tell you, I unconsciously held so much resistance at the beginning of this film and didn't realize I was holding it until I began to see the parallel between Cassie's life (I gave the character a name, I hope that's fine) and my own.
